The Polar Vortex Effect In SO FL

The temp got into the 40’s here in South Florida last night.

This is Kenya, one of my smaller African Spur Thigh tortoises (a rescued tortoise) that kept warm sleeping in my bathroom shower stall last night.

Here’s the link to my Kinjuu Wildlife site for the entire blog post and more pics:

I hope all of you are keeping warm. My thoughts are with you.  -Dani

    • I’m not a weather expert but that does seem odd. – I just learned yesterday that a storage facility near Atlanta Georgia, where I have some things in storage, flooded from water pipes that burst a couple days ago from that freezing weather, so I’m going to be traveling to Atlanta soon to retrieve whatever may be left of my things. I’m going through boxes now trying to find my “really warm” clothes, LOL, as opposed to my South Florida “OMG it’s 60 degrees outside” wanna be warm clothes. :)

I'd love to hear from you...
